Commissioner Wilder’s response to June 25 tabled agenda items

JIPSD maintains the Street Name signs on James Island.

Regulatory signs (i.e. STOP signs, Speed Limit signs), Warning signs (i.e. Pedestrian Crossing signs) and all other types of Guide signs (i.e. Bike Lane signs, Evacuation/Route signs) are not maintained by JIPSD. These signs are typically maintained by the agency that owns the road.

JIPSD does not have authority to rename streets.

Responses to Residents’ Statements from Public Hearing of June 25, 2018

In observance of Independence Day, JIPSD offices will be closed Wednesday, July 4th. JIPSD residents on Wednesday and Thursday routes will have collection services one day later than normal. Please see below for a detailed schedule.
