Wastewater Projects
Pump Station 33
The rehabilitation of Pump Station 33 located on Secessionville Road is currently awaiting approval of State Revolving Funds. The projected time for bidding the project is Spring 2010. The station will be upgraded with new pumps, piping, electrical system, backup generator and odor controls.
Schooner Road
The Schooner Road project will add approximately 2500 linear feet of gravity sewer line and 44 services on Schooner Road to connect to an existing sewer system within the Lighthouse Point Subdivision.
UPDATE: Landmark Construction Company has completed approximately 55% of sewer main installation. They are also filling in the trenches above the new piping with flowable fill, arriving in concrete trucks. The flowable fill is used to stabilize the road bed to keep it from settling in the future. The projected completion date is mid May 2010.
Riverland Drive and Central Park Road
At the intersection of Riverland Drive and Central Park Road the force main and manhole will be undergoing repair within the next month. The roadways will be restricted to one lane between the hours of 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. for approximately one week. Use of an alternate route is recommended during these times. We will post the scheduled work start date on this site as soon as it becomes available.
For questions concerning the projects listed above, please email David Hoffman, Wastewater Superintendent, at hoffmand@jipsd.org.
